About Soyo Oka

Career to date

Started playing piano at an early age, studied composition at Osaka College of Music, and began working in music. 1987 joined Nintendo as a sound composer, responsible for music for Nintendo's video game software. 1995 left Nintendo to work as a freelance artist. Her representative works during her time at Nintendo include "Ice Hockey," "Fumikon Mukashi Hanashi Yuyuki," "Super Mario Kart," "Sim City," and "Pilot Wings. Since becoming independent, she has provided music for animation, commercials, and games. She has written many books and serialized his work in magazines and other publications.
